This illustration was not in my original plan.

 This illustration was inspired by a quote from the book 'Mother Owl said, “Monkey killed one of my owlets. Because of that, I cannot bear to wake the sun.”

This is a very rough sketch then in Ps, I drew an outline of its head using the brush tool then used the lasso tool to cut the shape out.

I was struggling with the mouth. I don't know if the mandible in image 2 work then I tried to illustrate a different style of mandible (Image one) but it look even worst and decided to stick with the original (image 2) and my final illustration for this is image 2.
